Julie can deliver music and vocal workshops for children. For example, she is working with St Ives-based Kidz R Us Theatre to launch a new Kidz Khoir. Find out more at the Kidz R Us web site - www.kidzrus.net.

Julie offers a series of workshops (see below) and is equally happy to work with your school or organisation to tailor workshops to your specific needs.

Bring the story of Christmas right home to Cornwall!

A unique new workshop from Julie helps children to learn a very special Christmas carol.

The fascinating story of the Cornish carol “I saw three ships come sailing in…” with DVD footage of the history of St. Michael’s Mount and the tin trade, and recounting the legend of the visit of Joseph of Arimathea and the young Jesus to Marazion.

Credentials

Julie is CRB checked, has public liability insurance via the Musician’s Union and is a Professional Music Leader.

Julie has been teaching for fifteen years across the entire age spectrum of primary and secondary schools, both mainstream and freelance.

She has a natural ability to captivate, entertain and inspire the groups she meets and children always leave sessions feeling that they have had a very positive experience.

Julie celebrates her Cornish ethnicity and is a regular performer on the inter Celtic circuit. She has won international awards for her song writing and performance and been featured on radio TV and film, in Britain and Europe.

As a linguist, Julie is also interested in language and song from other parts of the world. She is able to offer an interesting selection of workshops, which may be delivered in isolation or as part of a series of musical exploration.
